Customer Technical Support Engineer
Senior Web Developer CSS/DHTML/Javascript (Contract)
GoLightly has several 6-12 hour projects each month that require a web developer to customize a community style sheet to match a client's existing website brand. You will modify and extend our style sheets, build pages from visual designs, and debug existing styles, working in close collaboration with our team of designers and engineers. We seek a motivated, organized and thorough team player or partner firm. You should be a perfectionist and be motivated by the quality of your work and client satisfaction. We care passionately about what we do, and have fun doing it.Qualifications (Must haves):
- Expert level knowledge of CSS, DHTML, Javascript, especially cross-browser compatibility
- Must be a self-starter and follow-through obsessively
- Image preparation skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, good with web asset preparation)
- Expect top quality from self and coworkers
- Want to be part of a small, very experienced team doing excellent work
- Good sense of humor
Desired:
- Experience with Smarty or similar template engine
- Usability experience
- Design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, good with colors and layout)
- Management experience
- Experience with PHP & Flash
- Own portable computer with your favorite applications installed

Senior Web Application Engineer, PHP
GoLightly has a full-time position open for a Senior Web Application Engineer fluent with object oriented PHP in an model/view/controller structure, working in our Mill Valley office (North of Golden Gate Bridge). We seek a motivated, passionate, organized team player to accelerate our development effort. You will be responsible for adding key features to our hosted service (working on the model and controller layers), with some contact directly with the client. You should be a perfectionist and be motivated by the quality of your work and client satisfaction. We care passionately about what we do, and have fun doing it. Position allows for 1 day of telecommuting each week.Required Qualifications:
- Expert level knowledge of developing web applications with object oriented PHP, MySQL and Smarty
- Proficiency with Unix, CVS
- Must be comfortable managing client expectations, and developing features to specification
- Experience creating feature specifications
- Must be a self-starter and enjoy working in a small team
- Wants to be part of a small, very experienced team doing excellent work
- Expect top quality from self and coworkers
- Good sense of humor

Customer Technical Support Engineer
GoLightly has a part-time position (25 hours per month/1-2 hours a day) open for a Customer Support Engineer who can answer client questions (by email), research trouble reports and document findings, update support statuses in our support tracking system (Salesforce), and provide friendly, timely service. Most of the job can be done remotely, but we request 4 hours a month in our Mill Valley office (10 minutes North of the Golden Gate Bridge). We seek a motivated, passionate, organized and thorough team player. You should be a perfectionist and be motivated by the quality of your work and client satisfaction. We care passionately about what we do, and have fun doing it. This position allows for 20 hours of telecommuting each month.Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience with highly technical customer support via email, chat and phone
- 1+ years experience with support tracking software (ex/ RT, Salesforce)
- Must enjoy new technology and online community
- Must like helping people, while being comfortable managing client expectations regarding bug fixes
- Must be a self-starter and show experience managing many detailed tasks
- Wants to be part of a small, very experienced team doing excellent work

- Good sense of humor & excellent writing skills
